More than a meal

The heart of JailBreakers Catering is a workforce development model built on opportunity, accountability, and real work experience. Men recovering from addiction or reentering society after incarceration first complete treatment and stabilization, then engage in mentorship and service work, followed by formal training and internship.

From there, participants can earn a place in JailBreakers’ paid on-the-job training program, where they gain hands-on culinary experience, daily structure, transferable work skills, and the confidence that comes with meaningful employment.

Why this matters: evidence shows recidivism can be decreased by up to 59% when participants receive employment training and services.
